Nassef Sawiris is the Executive Chair of OCI Global (“OCI”), a global producer and distributor of nitrogen, methanol and hydrogen products. Mr. Sawiris served as OCI’s CEO from 1998-2020. During his 21-year tenure as CEO, Mr. Sawiris conceived four major strategic transformations that catapulted what was a regional construction company into a leading global engineering, construction and concessions player, a top ten global cement producer, a top three global nitrogen fertilizer producer, a top five global methanol producer, and the world’s largest green methanol producer.

Among the various positions he holds, Mr. Sawiris is Chair of NNS Group, an Executive Chair of Aston Villa FC, a member of the Supervisory Board of adidas AG, and a Board member at Joe & the Juice. Mr. Sawiris is also a member of the J.P. Morgan International Council, a member of the Cleveland Clinic’s International Leadership Board Executive Committee, and a member of the University of Chicago’s Board of Trustees.
