COP28

Fertiglobe embraces every opportunity to decarbonize its operations and leverage technology and partnerships as part of its journey to Net Zero by 2050.

Our role at COP28 was to support the UN Climate Summit by offering unique insights into the decarbonization of our own processes. Through a range of strategic projects and initiatives, we discussed our aims to reduce our own carbon footprint as well as develop sustainable solutions for our value chain.

We actively engaged in various roundtable discussions, including the Carbon Pricing Roundtable and Hydrogen Council Ministerial CEO Roundtable. The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Roundtable focused on Investment Strategies to Accelerate Decarbonization of Heavy Industries, while Building Trust to Accelerate the Development of the Clean Hydrogen Economy was a key topic of interest.

Our leadership also contributed to panels such as ‘Accelerating MENA’s Net-Zero Journey,’ the ‘UAE Carbon Clean Panel: Advancing Next Generation Carbon Capture Technology,’ and the Executive Panel at Reuters Energy Transition, which delved into MENA’s Energy Mix and how public and private stakeholders are collaborating for a diverse and sustainable power supply.

Fertiglobe continues to capitalize on innovative projects that are focused on the betterment of processes, products, and the planet. COP28 was the ideal platform from which to highlight our vision.
