Ahmed El-Hoshy is the Chief Executive Officer of Fertiglobe.

El-Hoshy has been CEO of Fertiglobe since 2021, where he played a critical role in preparing the Company for its successful IPO, successfully navigating commodity market cycles, and leading Fertiglobe’s consolidation with ADNOC to create a world leader in low-carbon ammonia.

Ahmed was formerly the CEO of OCI Global, where he led the business as CEO since 2020, up until October 2024, having held senior executive positions over thirteen years, including Global Chief Operating Officer and CEO of OCI Americas. Ahmed played an integral role in the successful divestment of several businesses of OCI in 2023 and 2024, worth $11.6 billion of proceeds, unlocking significant value for shareholders. Previously, Mr. El-Hoshy led the growth of OCI’s US and European businesses in both the ammonia and methanol sectors.

A dual Egyptian and American citizen, he received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College, USA and began his career at Goldman Sachs as a member of the investment banking and special situations groups in New York and Dubai.
