Abu Dhabi, UAE – August 31, 2026: Fertiglobe (the “Company”) (ADX: FERTIGLB), the world’s largest seaborne exporter of urea and net ammonia combined, the largest nitrogen fertilizer producer in the Middle East and North Africa region, and the exclusive ammonia platform of ADNOC and XRG, today announced that after seven years with Fertiglobe, Andrew Tait will step down as Chief Financial Officer on 1 October 2026 to pursue new opportunities. Daniel Shook has been appointed as Andrew’s successor and will assume the role on the same date. Andrew Tait and Daniel Shook will work together ahead of the handover to ensure an orderly transition.
“It has been a privilege to serve as Fertiglobe’s CFO since its inception in 2019, through our IPO on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, building the balance sheet during a period of significant industry volatility, and the transition to ADNOC as majority shareholder. More recently, I am proud to have led Fertiglobe’s transformation initiatives, its AI agenda and the establishment of our Shared Services Centre. I am proud of what the company has achieved, and I leave with great confidence in Fertiglobe’s next chapter,” said Andrew Tait.
Ahmed El-Hoshy, CEO of Fertiglobe, commented:
“Andrew helped build Fertiglobe from its formation in 2019, to its listing and evolution into the global business it is today, with ADNOC as its majority shareholder through XRG. I have greatly valued working with him and, on behalf of Fertiglobe, wish him every success for the future. We also welcome Daniel, who brings deep international finance experience across capital-intensive industrials, most recently as CFO of IMI plc. That experience will serve Fertiglobe well as we deliver on our next phase of growth.”
Daniel brings over 30 years of international finance leadership in chemicals, industrial gases and industrial manufacturing. He joins from IMI, the FTSE 100 engineering group, where he was CFO and an executive director for 10 years. Prior to IMI, he spent seven years as CFO of Borealis AG, where he also served on the board of Borouge, and earlier held senior finance roles at The BOC Group, now part of Linde plc. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and is a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of XP Power.
“I am honored to join Fertiglobe and I look forward to working with the team to build on the strong foundation established under Andrew’s leadership to support the company in its next phase of growth,” said Daniel.
